Sunday Sketch 10/21/12

Another illustration lamenting the chores of the home....
my husband usually washes and
irons his own things [I know its great]
SUNDAY SKETCH - Check out the others at BlueChairDiary
Tonight he made a trade with my 12 year old (?!?!)
that if he walked the dog for the twelve-year old,
the boy would iron his shirts and pants.
Imagine how that one turned out....
Saturday, I knuckled down and made the book
I had the urge to make. I ended up using a different
YouTube tutorial and went for coptic stitching.
It took me a long time because I had to
re-do the stitching twice but I love how it came out:)
Makes me just want to make more.
Have a GREAT and creative week everyone!
Take care,

Oh my, Fran... you made ironing look so "creative & artful!"
Beautiful illustration... such magical fingers & style you have!! :]
The handmade signature book, is beautiful as well.
Keep "arting" away, you are so talented. ~xx

Your drawing is such fun and as April said almost makes ironing look like fun.

My hubby does a lot of chores around the house. I think boys should be taught all those things just as girls are. It makes them more independent.

Great sketch. I iron, but my perfect man cleans the house and loo. He is a much better housewife than me... :) Love the sketchbook, gorgeous

your book looks beautiful! I imagine that would also make great gifts for people who like to write and sketch.

Your sketch also is a joy to see. Love that trade...

Your illustration is wonderful!!. Love everything on it. I don't iron, the dryer do the magic, if I'm ready to take them out on time. ;)

Have a great day!

I like how you wound the cord around the iron.......gave it great emphasis. Your line work is fabulous! BTW, I do not own an iron!

I love the colors and shapes in your book creation.

Ironing has always been my least favorite thing to do. God bless wash and wear clothing!
I love the journal!!!! It's gorgeous!! Great job. :):)

I married a man who irons... well he has to be left alone to watch sport uninterrupted while he does it, but I am soooo not complaining... that painting will appal to him... and that gorgeous book will appeal to me... well they both appeal to me but lets not tell him that...xx
