Summer Sunday

Oh jeesh its been hot here! What a weekend. Lots of indoor activities to get out of this heat!
testing out a new water brush
 Working on watercolors.
Watercolor journaling with some ink writing. Its a bit messy. That pen is tricky...
I made some more stamps as well.
carving more erasers!
I am missing the index card challenge and routine of doing that. Lots of fun, that was!
Here are some of my last ones I made up the last days of July.

Have a great week!

Yeah, we here in Seattle will take some too! Sat. & Sun were about 85 but now it's overcast and humid today. Guess that was our summer. :)
Thank you so much for leaving comments on my blog but I can't figure out how to respond - you've got a no-blogger address in my email and it goes to GooglePlus which for the life of me I can't figure out how to respond to. Luckily I get your blog in my reader and try to remember to comment each time I read your good ideas. Just didn't want you to think I'm unappreciative or rude. :) I'm lovin' your watercolor play - looks like a good way to stay cool.

I love your stamps. I brought my carving tool and some erasers on vacation and I'm hoping to find some time to carve. they are so much fun.
(and I left horridly hot and humid weather in Massachusetts and now I'm sitting on the deck of a lake house in Maine, wearing jeans, a sweatshirt and an afghan! it will be swimming weather later so it's kind of a treat to be cold this morning!)

We are stuck inside as well...it's been 108-110 degrees here. It's either the pool or air conditioning, and I feel very blessed to be able to do so!
Your stamps are coming along nicely. Are you still using the erasers? Love the leaf one.

I just love your stamps. Have definitely been at odds without ICAD. This week I produced a grand total of nothing! Obviously I need another challenge :-) Hope you found a break from the heat. You could send it my way.... xx

oh Fran, that vase painting looks so damn proud... it's beautiful! It actually reminds me of Danny Gregory's style. Your lettering is always gorgeous and although i've never done the Index Card challenge, i think i'd like it - the fact that they're small makes it that much less daunting. :-) I love your simple (and important) messages on the cards. I don't remember how i found you, but i'm glad i did. :-)

Hi Fran,

This post is just brimming with creative goodness! I LOVE your journal pages...the flowers are so pretty and I love the mix of writing on the vase page. Which watercolour set is that? Winsor & Newton? Your stamps are gorgeous! Nice work on the ICADs too!

Wonderful post! xx
