Sunday Sketch 10/7/12

It's Sunday again...

I had such a nice weekend with friends and family.
Saturday we got together with family for birthdays.
Things turned out different than planned but in the end it all worked out fine:))

My nephew, sister and mother are all celebrating
birthdays on the 5th, 6th and 8th of this month.
[Happy Birthday Mama! XO]

And today I got together with a friend for lunch and some shopping.
The weather was rainy and gray, but what a pleasant afternoon we had.

Please stop over to Sunday Sketches and
check out the other participants.

I hope everyone has a super week:)
Take care! Be good to yourself
and to those around you,

Watercolor Journaling

gouache and micron

I just started a new watercolor journal after painting
on these loose bits of paper recently.
Last winter I found large sheets of w/c paper that I had
and I trimmed them all out and have been working away on them.
The jounral I've just started is a custom made sketch book
that is wonderful and has some great paper:)
I am going to  have to learn to start making and
binding my own sketchbooks, haha! I wish.
I joke, but actually I really ought to try that.
I'll get started on a YouTube search soon!
Have a Happy Tuesday:)

Keeping busy

Well, I've finally done it. I have got myself an Etsy shop, up and running. I am pretty excited about it and trying to learn the ins and outs of it. Here is my banner. I finally created it, not entirely to my liking but there is something in the spot for now :)

So far I have ACEOs on the shop and plan to add some 4x6 paintings and greeting cards.. A little at a time. The link is www.etsy.com/shop/WeThree I was also included in a few treasuries, which is so exciting for me. I have been trying to keep on with my journaling and did a little sketch while Mom T. was in the hospital. Poor thing had a quadruple bypass. She's in rehab and mending beautifully, thank God. She is in the facility my sister works at, and is in Jen's unit.

I saw this quote and was inspired to illustrate it.

Fun stuff.
