Still January

Lets try blogging by iPhone shall we? Wheeeee! I just spent a good amount of time scanning and find Blogger won't let me upload photos! So here are images from my phone I'll post. I am sorry that they are such lousy quality ;)

UPDATE: Thank you Mary for showing me the way - the HTML way to get my photos on my post!

I love love love chapter 9 in the Tao Te Ching. I have a copy of it on my wall. Here it is below with some of my favorite bowls.

I rarely bake cupcakes, this just came out of my head after I spied those pastel-colored paper cupcake sleeves in the back of the cabinet. I thought, hmmm, maybe I should get some cake mix and bake some cupcakes. Hmmm, maybe not. Drawing them is a better idea.

This one started off as ran dom sections of color but after working on it I see it as a landscape:) I'm calling it the River's Wall.

Some doodling on a blank card while on a loooong phone call with my baby sister:
Enjoy your day!

Always a pleasure to visit, Fran. :]
Sorry about the limit of photos on your Blogger.
I just went through a similar issue, very annoying!! ((sigh))

Great work! I don´t have a scanner yet so I also always have to choose between easy to blog or high quality pictures... Recently I decided that it is better to post with crappy pics than to not post at all..

Very peculiar isn't it? Also do you find that after posting the third photo every photo thereafter cannot be sized.. Oh we'll nothing is perfect:)

Yes Anna! Exactly!!LOL
Hope you are having a great day today!

Switch to the html setting to upload pictures then back to composer to edit them. We artsy folks need to keep each other in the technology loop.

Mary, you technological genius! I'm doing it now! Thank you!!

I love your work and the colors. And The first image is so beautiful and the quote too. :)

Hmm, I have to learn the html way!! What I've been doing lately is uploading my images, (already pre-sized) to my imageshack.us account, and put them on the post with a direct link. I found when I was uploading directly from blogger, its almost as if the color or image quality wasn't good. Again, probably something on my end...who knows! But as long as we figure it out someway!!! All this web and coding, ah, LOL.

I had the same problem recently and found that if I upload the photos to picasa first, they go over to my blog just fine.....strange to have to do this extra step :(

I love your work, Fran....always so cheerful :)

Those flowers are GORGEOUS - both the colourful illustration AND the quote! Very true... Persistence, persistence... :)
Oh, 'do your work, then step back'... Very wise words to live by! At times I say 'step AWAY from the page' to myself. Often in the nick of time, but at times a little too late ;)
Honestly, drawing all that stuff you need to bake cup cakes is better than the cup cakes themselves in SO many ways! Here are some: you will have something to look at LONG after the cup cakes are gone; you don't have tell yourself you need to find a way to shed those empty calories; you don't have to clean; and it's so much more FUN to draw than to bake (at least IMHO ;))
Love the coloured, textured landscape and the doodle card :)
So much inspirational fun to look at what you get up to :) Thanks for sharing!!

Yes as long as we figure it out in the end.. I live with a computer guy and the knowledge is rarely transferred from he to me:)

I will have to take a look at Picassa then!
Thanks for the kind comment:))

Thank you Yvonne!!!!

more fun to draw than bake and (the worst) clean up after the baking, mixing, general mess of it all!!
