Art Renewal

 I 'm linking up to Artsyville's Glue-It Tuesdays
 I had started a painting on a page in my art journal but lost interest fast.
I thought I would use that as a base for this composition.

I keep a plastic sandwich bag for my watercolor scraps.
I get great satisfaction out of the fact that
I can use all these little bits together.

I did add some addtional paint to the purple bits, they looked too plain to me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Another project I am working on involves this book I have WaterPaperPaint and I have tried a number of the projects.
This one is Project 20:
 the edges of the artwork don't appear perfectly straight,
 I'll have to flatten in some books.
Of course, as I do with most instructions and recipes,
I don't read all the way through...[shocker]
I was supposed to use black paper or matte black acrylic to start but I just used black gouache.
So it got a bit tricky and easily muddied up the brighter gouache colors.
So next time I will be sure to use acrylic, then I won't have to go over alot of the elements to brighten them up.
I am tempted to cut this up and make four ATCs but I think I am going to leave it.
Detail, a look closer
My favorite part are the blues, in the top left quarter and bottom left quarter. Green is my favorite color but blue is such a close second.
 I am so glad its getting warmer. Aren't you?
A few spring-y things:
 specimens I selected while on my walk with the dog.
the crocuses are coming!
Happy Easter, Happy Spring!
Have a terrific weekend and enjoy!
Take care,
Fran T xo
Card #2 for Daffodil ATC swap
I used the photo I posted yesterday at Easter as my inspiration for my second ATC
 I am sending out.
Here it is.
 I'll send them in the mail tomorrow.
I made sure to scan them as I think I might put them on Etsy
and sell as prints.
Notice the "might" in that sentence, haha!! ( I know me)
I dread uploading to Etsy, the process should be easier, man! LOL!
Have a great day! Gotta run and pick up the boy from his basketball clinic:)
Daffodil ATC swap
ATC - Daffodil 2.5" x 3.5"
pre-watercolors
Here's ATC #1 for this swap. I have to create another and did get it started..I had it framed with a seed packet design but I'm pretty sure Daffodils are grown from bulbs :) This one has a seed packet flavor but its not specific...I caught myself.LOL!:)  I have to come up with a new idea for ATC #2.
I am so glad it is Thursday! I am so beat. Staying up too late these past few date (ahem, it 12:02am now) I've got to start focusing on breaking this bad habit of being a nigh owl. Its to ingrained in me. Any suggestions, I wonder?  Ok so I'm getting sleep now. I'll post when I have the other ATC done. I got my last and fifth zine from the zine swap today. I'll take a photo to show everyone all the different types I recieved. What fun that was!
Enjoy the holiday weekend everyone! I'm off now for five days, yippee!
And I thought spring was on the way....
The flowers are in the shops and markets but it feels colder now than it did in December and January!
There are crocuses coming up earlier than I expected. The poor plants are confused:)
I'm a little disappointed that my swap-bot swap didn't go so well. I made my card and sent it but the person who was to send to me never did. Well, its my first time so I will give it another go. I signed up for an ATC swap related to birds. We'll see what happens with that one!
Daffodils -  I used Schminke paints and Arches text laid paper
But on the very bright side I received a wonderful package from Pat. She was so kind to mail me an envelope with goodies. What a nice friend! Thank you Pat you made my week! :)
I got to visit with my neice recently and she is a crafty, creative little artist. Emily and her girlfriend Brenin are so cute. They spend time doing crafts, drawing and such. I showed them the bunting I made for the valentine swap and right away they wanted to make one too! And they did. Unfortunately I left before they did but the girls did show me something that they had made together. At a previous visit, I shared Jenniebellie's YouTube channel and they got to work trying to make a journal. They told me the one they picked was too hard (they are 9 and 7) and instead of giving up came up with some wonderful little things! Just adorable.
Well thanks goodness its Thursday, the weekend is almost around the corner! Work has been a hectic and this week has lasted for what seems like forever! That always happens when there is a day off in there. I hope to post more, the past few weeks I have been preoccupied running here and there. Take care everyone and hope all is well! Good night:)
