Fill It 2 Zine Swap

the fork is in this photo because I was using it to fold.
I just completed my very first zine! Swap-bot posted a swap where participants trade off with five other participants. The coordinator makes the arrangements and you just find out to whom you ship. This was so much fun! It was created based on a template with small prompts, this can be found through the swap coordinator, as she had it posted on her blog

I have already received a few zines in the mai land will take photos and post them soon!
I can't wait for the next one:) I'm supposed to get from five partners.

Flat view..there is a special way to fold and cut into a booklet.
Looking forward to my next zine swap!

oh yeah, yay!! Tomorrow is Friday - TGIF!
Take care and will be back soon,
Fran

March Blues

The color challenge this month is the color blue! And boy, was that a tough one for me! On top of the color challenge I broken open the Dr. Ph Martin Watercolor set that my mother-in-law gave me for Christmas.

Kitchen Blues

detail

Using this new set was a bit different but alot of fun. I like this kitchen painting I made but after working on this for a time I realized the blue is supposed to represent something tranquil. So I painted 'Canal'. I enjoyed the exercis of doing this one:)
This is the painting I submitted for the challenge:) Its an abstraction called 'Canal'

A bit messy but I'm experimenting.

This month has been hectic and been a little hard to get some time to stop and do some painting. I can usually manage to squeeze it in but we've go so much happening and plus work...Looking forward to a calm April!
Take care! Tomorrow is Friday- yippee!

Yellow, it is.

Yellow is the color for an upcoming ATC swap I'm involved in. I started these larger pieces with the intent to cut but I like them both too much to cut. These larger pieces are 5"x 7".

So next time around I used pre-cut 3.5"x2.5" card:))
I made two but keeping this one for now and will hold for a non-swapbot swap:)

I haven't yet found out the color for the month of March's color challenge. Lets hope its yellow and I call it a day :)  LOL
Happy Tuesday friends!

Trois Pommes

My little series of  apple paintings.

1 of 3

2 of 3

3 of 3
I enjoyed this exercise this evening. I painted all three at the kitchen counter :)) I used gouache on all three designs. The first is my favorite because it came very naturally, I was calm, focused and relaxed. The second is my least favorites. I was trying too hard during the whole time painting. I like #3 , its more graphic looking. They smelled DELICIOUS when I was painting. I have to use them tomorrow in my juicer as they are ready to go OR I'll push on family members. TGIF Everyone!
